How to add a CookieBot banner to your Go High Level website
The default CookieBot integration script doesn't work on a Go High Level (GHL) site out of the box. In this guide, I'll walk you through two workarounds.

Why the default method doesn't work
Typically, site-wide scripts in GHL are added via Settings > Head tracking code like this:
This ensures the script runs on all pages.
This, however, doesn't work with the CookieBot script. GHL strips off some crucial data from the script, making it unusable:
Workaround #1
Use a modified CookieBot script. You can find the modified version of the CookieBot script here:
https://github.com/karolk95/cookiebot-for-ghl
This script, however, won't work in the global site settings. Instead, you'll need to manually add it to each page. Here's how:
Open your website or funnel in GHL and click Edit on a page:
In the page editor, click on Tracking code:
Paste the modified CookieBot script into the Header Tracking section:
Make sure to replace the value of the data-cbid attribute with your own CookieBot id.
Click Save and repeat for each page in your website or funnel.
While this workaround works, it’s time-consuming and hard to maintain. If you only have a few pages, it might be manageable. If not, consider the second option.
Workaround #2
Use a Consent Management Platform that supports Go High Level out of the box, like Cookifi.
To integrate Cookifi with GHL:
In Cookifi, go to Settings > General for your property:
Under Integration script, switch the Data attribute setting to Query string:
Copy the generated script:
Paste it into your site-wide head tracking code settings in GHL:
Click Save and preview your website:
That’s it — your Cookifi cookie banner will now appear across all pages, without the need to manually insert it on each one.
If you want to simplify your consent setup, Cookifi is now FREE for early adopters.
